The Salvation Army Western Territorial Headquarters has an opening for an Internet TV Post Production Supervisor working for SAVN.TV (Salvation Army Vision Network). This is a full-time exempt position with great benefits.   Qualified candidates will have an exceptional understanding of all aspects of post-production, a four-year college degree from a legitimate film school or university, preferred, AND have at least five years of post-production experience.  

(Candidates lacking a college degree must have at least ten years of post-production experience)

DEPARTMENT: SAVN.TV (SALVATION ARMY VISION NETWORK)

POSITION TITLE: POST PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

STATUS: EXEMPT

 

MISSION STATEMENT

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

:

1) To coordinate all needs of post-production on the set and in the editorial studio.

2) Create schedules with the supervising producer, track sound reports, tracking resource footage/video clips/photos as well as sound files.

3) All post-production needs and hard drives delivery for editorial with supervision of website uploads and coordination with on line delivery schedule for website.

4) Manages the post-production calendar.

5) Manages footage implementation on editorial and tracking of all hard drives for in/out use of editors.

6) Will work with and report to the Executive Director in preparation of all post-production needs.

7) Willing to perform direct editing when necessary.

8) Will interact with the Supervising Producer, Supervising Film and Sound Editors, supporting studios and labs, and the Production Accountant.

9) Must be available to participate in pre-production meetings for creative and budgetary constraints.

10) Willing to work production hours as well as post-production office hours based on the needs of the shooting schedule.

11) May assist Executive Director in hiring post-production personnel.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

3) Be a team player and able to lead and motivate a team of video editors, sound editors, and other post-production staff.

4) Must understand post-production terms.

5) Only those with Post-production experience at a working production company and/or post house need apply.

6) Must have good spelling and grammar.

SOFTWARE-RELATED SKILLS

:

1) Have complete working knowledge of Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and Avid editorial systems as well as After Effects, Pro Tools, Photoshop, and all post related programs.

2) Extensive knowledge of both Excel and Word programs.
